Post 10: my experience in this course

Hi, today I am going to talk about my experience in this course. When I was in English 3, the class was only of the teacher, the classes were theories, and the teacher explained the topics, the students did not participate much, and this made the class very boring. Now in English 4, the teacher is very dynamic, the class is more entertaining, especially the second hour, in this second hour the students participate in the activities of what the teacher does, although sometimes it gives a bit of embarrassment, just like it is very entertaining. In general, my experience in this course has been very good, I always hated English, since high school, I almost never went to English classes or invented something to get out of class, I really hated English, especially listening, my teacher of 3 grade in high school all the year did listening, I hate this teacher too. In the university, the way of learning English is different, writing the blog is good for practice, and improves g

Post 9: Curriculum

Imagen
Hi, today I am going to talk about the changes that I would like to make in the curriculum. I started studying architecture last year and I'm part of the first generation with the new curriculum, the university took 10 years to make the new curriculum, and I think it still does not work well, maybe because we are the proof of the new curriculum. With this new curricular some subjects were maintained, others were mixed, and new ones appeared. Like PHS and Transversal, the first is a class in which we are taught to design and build in a sustainable way, but the way in which the course was presented or done last semester did not work well, and despite having approved the subject, I think I did not learn much. The second is a course where we should be with students of the other courses of the faculty of geography and design, but in reality, it is not like that, there are few transversal ones that have students of the other courses and the content of the classes is in many cases Th

post 7: Santiago Stories.

Hi, today I'm going to talking about the Santiago stories, specifically public transport stories. In general, I walk or use the bus to move around the city, but my travels are very short, from my house to University I take 5 minutes by bus, so it’s rare that something interesting happens to me along the way. But with so many trips something to happen to me. One day when I was in a hurry to get to my house, because I have work for workshop, I said: “mmm… I will go by bus to get there faster”, I went to the whereabouts and the bus passed immediately and there were free seats, and I said: “fantastic!!!”, I sit down, I wear headphones and start listening to music, some minutes passed and the bus collided with a car, it was a smooth collision, the card was left with a very small mark, but inside the card there was a baby, so his dad was very angry, he put his car in front of the bus and did not let us move forward, the people inside the bus were very upset, including me, a lady ca

post 6: postgraduate

Hello today I'm going to talk about my future after graduating, although I still have three and a half years left for that 😪 Before I entered college and generally before choosing my career, my plans were to study a career, then get a magister and if possible a doctorate. Now that I enter university and I am studying architecture I have not thought much about whether or not to take a postgraduate course, architecture is a very heavy race and does not leave you much free time to think about such things. Now that they have raised the issue and given myself the time to think about it, I think what I want to do after graduating is to work and travel to get me out of five and a half years of studies and university stress, and then of a time (a year or two) to enter a magister on sustainability or something related to green areas and collective public spaces, last year I met the architect Teresa Moller, who works as a landscaper and I is in love with her work (tip pite and white

post 5: work

Hello again dear friends, today I am going to talk about my future work, or rather the job that I would like to have. As I said in previous blogs, I am an architecture student, and I would like to work in the career that I am studying. Architects have several areas of work, such as designer, technical inspector, urban advisor, supervisor, project management, etc. Personally, I would like to work in design, I like to create things and I would love to see my designs built, the idea of being able to see something that came out of your head, that works and is useful for people, simply I love. But I do not like the idea of designing houses or residential buildings I would like to work on things like parks and public spaces, or buildings of a collective social nature, an architect is a professional difficult to pay for, that's why I like to think of making architecture that can reach to all the people. Many times, the architects who work designing, tend to be much in the office, I wou

post 4: Stress

Hi! I am going to talk about a matter not very grateful, stress in workshop :c Workshop is the central subject of the Architecture Career, in this subject where you realize the projects, you learn to show a project, to make models, etc. That's why he takes the longest time in the university Since entering university I have been in four different workshops, for me the first one was the one that meant the biggest change, in high school I did not need to study and the jobs were simple, and when I had my first workshop I had to work a lot, I did not know how to handle my time (although I still do not learn to do it all xD), I almost did not sleep, in my final delivery, I slept between 2 - 3 hours a day for a week, it was a big change, since in my second workshop things changed a little, I tried to work faster and handle a little more time, although I did not function much jajajaja. The workshop stress comes mainly from time management, in the first year you do not know what teac
